Early Life and Education

Timothée Chalamet was born in Manhattan, New York City, to Nicole Flender, a real estate broker and former Broadway dancer, and Marc Chalamet, an editor for UNICEF. His mother is American, and his father is French, giving him dual citizenship and fluency in both English and French.

Chalamet attended the prestigious Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, where he honed his acting skills. He later briefly attended Columbia University before transferring to NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study.

Career Beginnings

Chalamet began acting in short films and commercials before landing recurring roles on TV, including Homeland (2012). He made his film debut in Men, Women & Children (2014), followed by a supporting role in Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar (2014).
